Fresh Coast Ambassadors / Cream City Conservation Corps
About the Organization
Cream City Conservation’s purpose as an organization is to cultivate the next generation of environmental and people leaders and prepare the existing industries to receive them. Today, Cream City Conservation is a thriving certified BCorp organization. From its inception in 2016, Cream City Conservation redirected a significant portion of its revenues towards funding the conservation corp program that creates jobs for hundreds of youth who were building more resilient environments in their communities and learning about what it takes to work within the environmental sector.
About the Youth Program
The Cream City Conservation Corps (C4) and Fresh Coast Guardian Crews complete public land stewardship projects around Milwaukee County. The teens learn on-the-job skills required for trail construction and maintenance, invasive species identification and removal, tree planting, urban agriculture, climate science, and climate resiliency.
